The Southern Regional Asset Building Coalition (SRABC) is an organization that seeks to raise awareness and advance strategies and policies that address economic challenges in the South.
We are composed of partner coalitions in four states:
We provide asset development guidance, information that supports policy development, and support for programs and policies that enhance the quality of life for families across the region.
SRABC serves as a forum that highlights common challenges among these states, often associated with low- to moderate-wealth individuals who are working to build economic security for themselves and their families.
Every two years, SRABC provides a regional asset building conference, convening asset building policy and program practitioners from around the country to discuss current issues related to their geographic regions.
A core value of SRABC is the inclusion of traditionally marginalized people. Through our state partner coalitions, SRABC engages organizations in the region that represent the low income, people of color and those with disabilities. The diverse perspectives of employers, policymakers, business owners and academia are also represented. By leveraging mutual interests and resources, SRABC seeks the removal of structural barriers to asset building and wealth creation activities.
