Connecting Men to Jobs in New Orleans’s Anchor Institutions

In an article published on November 18, 2014, on PolicyLink, New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu announced a plan to connect tens of thousands of unemployed African-American men to long term jobs in the region's expanding anchor institutions. A few weeks after the announcement, the city of New Orleans, raised $10 million to begin implementation. These measures are only some of the efforts taken by the mayor and his staff that focus on equity among all citizens of New Orleans.
